How your data is handled
Pacing Tools brings your training together from whatever you use, a watch, a file or an old Strava account. Your AI then sees one athlete instead of several accounts.
What we keep lives on our own server in the EU, tied to your account. Only your AI reads it, through a connection you set up. We do not sell it, share it or use it to train anything, and we never see the password of your watch account.
Connected accounts
Connect your watch account once, on the watch maker’s own page, and new activities keep arriving on their own. The maker hands us a connection, never your password, and we keep that connection encrypted until you disconnect.
We bring in your activities, with sport, title, start time, distance, duration, elevation, pace, heart rate, cadence, calories and laps. The first sync goes a year back, then new activities follow as they land.
Your wellness stays at Garmin. Sleep, HRV, resting heart rate, body battery, stress, training readiness, race predictions, weight and the rest are read when your AI asks about them, and not kept.
Disconnect Garmin on your athlete page and nothing new arrives. What was already imported stays until you delete it.
We bring in your activities, with sport, title, start time, distance, duration, elevation, pace, heart rate, cadence, calories and laps. COROS lets us fetch a limited number of activities a day, so a long history takes a few days to arrive.
Your wellness stays at COROS. We read none of it today. If that changes, this page says so.
Disconnect COROS on your athlete page and nothing new arrives. What was already imported stays until you delete it.
Files you upload
Files bring in any history, however old, from any device or app that can export it.
Activity files
We take FIT, GPX and TCX files, on their own or compressed, one at a time or many. From each file we bring in the activity: sport, start time, distance, duration, elevation, pace, heart rate, cadence, calories and laps where the file has them. Nothing else in the file is used.
We keep the file as you sent it, so an import can be repeated or improved without asking you for it again.
Strava exports
Strava has no live connection, but you can ask it for everything it holds on you. That is how your full history comes over. We never connect to your Strava account or use its API.
- On Strava, open Settings, then My Account
- Under Download or Delete Your Account, choose Request your archive
- Strava emails you a zip when it is ready, usually within a few hours
- Drop the zip on your athlete page
The whole zip gives the most: the activity files add laps and keep the original recording. In a
hurry? Drop just activities.csv from inside the zip and every activity lands with its totals. Add
the zip later and those activities are upgraded in place.
Only activity data is read. Photos, comments, clubs and the rest of the export are never opened.
Limits
Up to 50 MB per file and 2 GB per export archive. One import runs at a time per account, so a second one waits its turn. Your AI can read everything you have brought in, however far back it goes.
Your AI
Your question goes to the AI you chose. It asks our server for the data it needs to answer, one question at a time, and gets only that. It cannot change anything, on our side or on your watch.
We never use your data to train any model. What your AI keeps of what it reads is up to its provider, so check their terms before you connect.
Your data, your call
You decide what comes in, who reads it and how long it stays. Each of these works on its own:
- Disconnect a watch account on your athlete page to stop new data from it
- Revoke a key or a signed-in app on your keys page to cut off an AI
- Delete your account from your athlete page to erase activities, files and keys at once
